are about 1.10 ¤ per litre - that's about 1.18 US-$. (I don't know the exchange rate for Canadian Dollars right now.) And if you ask me, that's still way to cheap, considering the importance of oil or gas which both are no renewable resources.
That would force the automobile industry to produce more economical cars. Or public transports could be more competitive...
But as in the USA here in Germany people usually think so just until they are 18 years old. And get a driving license.

Oh, and by the way: I pay my fuel myself.
