Serious question by trulla2003-02-13 01:33:27
  My 2 cents by nibbler 2003-02-13 04:09:00
Well, I wish our goverment (Dutch) would have done the same as, Germany, fance or belgium....
We have now sent patriot missiles to Turkey, for defence purposes...
Germany, France and Belgium (dunno what other countries) don't want to do anything until the report of the weapons inspectors is in and has evidence. Seems like a fair demand, right?
I am sure that if the report show there are weapons aimed at turkey (not including US bases/troops in turkey) these countries will gladly help. (in defending turkey, not the war!)

My opinion on the whole iraq thing: I can't remember what post it was in or by who, but someone pointed out a very very good thing; if iraq is such a big threat, why isn't north-korea flat by now?
They have nuclear possibilities...Iraq does not (AFAIK).
North-korea is officially at war! India and pakistan have nuclear weapons....they are at the level of bashing eachothers brains in...
But Saddam has oil.
And that's the bottom line, in my opion.
And a war there will be, it will cost money, lives and trauma's....but at least dubya looks like a hero, will get his economical boost and will probably get to play the war game his daddy promised him.

Who's next?
let's see; (<amount of oil> + <average American hasn't heard of it> + <maybe a reason>) = hmm....entire arab world?
I wouldn't move there for a while ;)
