If SADDAM launches scuds at US TROOPS in turkey, then the US should be able to defend TURKEY. As to seeing turkish children killed by scuds - would they be killed if the US TROOPS wern't there ?? Also if SADDAM attacks turkey then NATO will respond. They are just not PRE-EMPTIVE - like the US.
