Serious question by trulla2003-02-13 01:33:27
Academic answer. by breezeblock 2003-02-13 02:06:14
I do find it amusing that the yanks are outraged at France and Germany not committing themselves. I seem to remember reading somewhere that World War II started in September 1939 and America committed in 1942 (OK, December 1941). I further recall reading about a chap called Charles Lindberg (pilot chappie, flew across the Atlantic on his todd) who was almost successful in persuading the wavering US government to join the war on the Axis side.

Isnt it amazing how selective memory works?
