Serious question by trulla2003-02-13 01:33:27
What's so bad about germany and france? by Freakazoid2003-02-13 01:35:15
well what can I say.... by other 2003-02-13 01:52:55
I think we (yes I'm from the U.S. darnit) have really very little reason to start staging any sort of action in the middle east. Iraq has not made any sort of agressive act and I doubt that we could successfully invade and replace saddam with any ruler that the people of Iraq would aprove of and accept to lead them with the ideas of peace and brotherhood with the U.S. (doesn't any one remember the Shah of Iran and Ayatollah Khomeni) Plus while the whole "harboring terrorist\weapons of mass destruction" is the right thing, our methods look more than a little hypocritical ... i mean how many nuclear\chemical war heads does the U.S. currently have and maintain (won't say - plead Natl. Security) we didn't even sign the accord outlawing biological weapons... we're just trying to protect our monopoly on world war capability... and I personally have to speak with many many customers of the place i work for (our primary customer base is officers and in recent years enlisted member of the military) I think any sort of action defensive in Trukey or Offensive on our own part is premature... its like bush is saying : "you might be doing something sneaky and violent so we're gonna blast you to smithereens..." isn't the United States supposed to be a civilized nation? no wonder a large part of the world's population (european and arabic mostly) think we're arrogant and self centered @sses... it almost makes me wish I was from a nice peaceful country, but the trade offs are the technological advancement and standard of living... well If you ask me I think Bush is trying to hide the economical problems and say look over here at (insert name of old bad guy from past) he's bad we need to do something about this ... i'm not a child anymore slight of hands and smoke and mirrors are no magic trick and when it comes time to vote i'm gonna wait for a candidate with at least a sense of brains and responsibility (guess that explains why i haven't voted for the past 2 presidential elections lack of a good alternative)

well that does it for my Rant ... " way to go France and Germany " may at least a few countries have sensible leaders.
