A question is stupid if the asker could've answered it themselves with a minimum of thought or effort on their part. If a normal adult with a fairly standard set of common knowledge asks why you shouldn't drop rocks on the heads of random strangers, it's a stupid question. The stupidity of the question is based on the knowledge and ability of the asker, not the askee, nor some absolute.
