I ~~suffered~~ enjoyed a bunch of children asking me what was the "funny noise" I made when I spoke (ahh, Herod, where were you?) Then, there are the differences between Mexico's spanish and Spain's spanish. I think what you learn there is more like mexican spanish so when I went there and people tried to be nice and talked me in spanish, I mostly understood nothing or very little BTW: I went near Grand Rapids, in Michigan
