| Need some FreeBSD assistance.... |

Usually I don't ask, but please don't LART me too hard if it's blaringly obvious! I'm just a n00b... just be glad I compiled the kernel without assistance. ;-)
Anyway, doing the Linux compat to start up Quake III: Well I have it to the point where it'll switch modes then bail...
...setting mode 4: 800 600
Using XFree86-VidModeExtension Version 2.1
XF86DGA Mouse (Version 2.0) initialized
XFree86-VidModeExtension Activated at 800x600
Using 4/4/4 Color bits, 24 depth, 0 stencil display.
hint: there may be a ulimit restricting the amount of
virtual memory available to XFree86. It may be a good
idea to check your startup scripts for something like
ulimit -v <number>
and either boost this value or remove the line.
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 130
Minor opcode of failed request: 5
Serial number of failed request: 38
Now, I know damn well I didn't set ulimit... I checked ulimit -v anyway and it's ulimited. Anything I'm not aware of? |
