"Okay. Now we need to physically connect your DSL modem. Take the line splitter and plug it into the phone socket. Unplug the phone cable first. Now find the line filter and plug it's cord into one socket of the splitter. Plug your phone line into the filter. Now, find the modem and the phone cable. Plug the cable into the other socket on the line splitter, then plug the other end into the matching (smaller) socket on the modem.
Find the network cable (it looks like a thicker phone cable with a larger end), and plug it into the modem and the other end into your computer's network port. Now, find the power adapter for the modem, and plug it into the modem, and then the power socket. Turn it on. |
