Should be fine under 2000 (except maybe the Civ one :). I think it's probably just your memory can only go so fast. Unless your HD is churning a lot while you do it. Then you're probably overflowing. No, I really don't have a good reason to continue to pursue this, especially when I'm probably stating the obvious. :)
