But seriously, you are raising the question of whether any ecosystem is worth saving, or can be saved (in the long run). Personally, I believe that as soon as you include humans as part of the equation (and how can you not?) then any changes we make to the ecosystems of the world can be defined as natural. And could possibly lead to our extinction, if we manage to produce a self-replicating disaster:-) And that would be natural too. However, I will bet on our adaptability - and vote for change! Long live the mammoths. As long as they are of use or amusement to us.
