I've been waiting for 3 or 4 years for Matt Ruff's new book to come out. I had it preordered (not for 3 years, of course) and have been waiting anxiously for it to arrive since Christmas. It came in the mail yesterday. 479 pages later, and I can honestly say it was well worth the wait. Set This House in Order is the new book... The subtitle is "A Romance of Souls", but it's most definately NOT a love story.
I don't know that many people here would like the book too much... However, I think many people would enjoy Sewer, Gas and Electric.
Or, maybe not... I don't really know. However, Matt Ruff is my favorite contemporary writer, and I'd thought I'd pass it on. (I'm skipping class next month when he comes to town for a book signing... I need an autograph.) |
