My nomination: PaintShop Pro 7. Version 6 was the little graphics editor that could. For years I used nothing else, creating graphics for web sites with ease. I suspect that for version 7 they sat around a conference table and said "how many confusing error messages can we cram into the user interface?" I just installed V7, and I've been trying to create an incredibly simple graphic: a GIF consisting of a box with a number in it. That's all. So far, I haven't even figured out how to change the default background color of red (who choses red as the default background color) to white. I can't figure out how to grab the number I just typed in and change its color from yellow (?) to black. Good grief.
