Getting an MP3 from a DVD by hyzenthlay2003-02-06 12:42:27
Besides the hard way? by Freakazoid 2003-02-06 12:46:40
(under windows mind you)
The easiest way I can think of is getting a software dvd decoder and record the wave out channel on the sound card to a .wav file, then convert to the format of your choice, or just record direct to mp3 if your system can handle it. Only other way I can think of involves large amounts of HD space copying then thing to disc, then doing a demux to get at the ac3 stuff then converting it. (or just playing the ac3 track direct via winamp and a plugin)

Other than those two, I wouldn't know. But it's probably not possible to convert the audio direct from the dvd to a mp3 without involving some sort of DeCSS
