15 seconds != turning a page. If the newspaper says continued on page foo, but you must stare at page bar (a full-page ad) for 15 seconds, that's not enforcable. On the web, it is, but it shouldn't be used by any ethical company
2. No, I'm not going to boycott UF, because the nag strips are:
a. bonus content, since they are UF characters in amusing situations, which is why I read UF, and
b. funny and not insulting to my intelligence, unlike almost all adverts seen on the web.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the nag strips do not appear on the Static, and thus (because the static is what I have bookmarked) they do not intefere with my seeing the day's strip; I see them when I enter the board, and usually have a bonus chuckle... Also, they don't take over the entire page. |
