Jesus was an unusual name, but what's most striking is that their names were even listed on this James' fellow's bone box. That's like listing your mom's and sister's names on your tombstone - that would likely only be done if they were persons of great importance.

The Roman historian Tacitus, as well as Pliny the Younger, and whoever wrote The Antiquities Of The Jews (I forget his name, and I don't remember if that's the exact title either) have all also written about a man called Jesus or Christus that was crucified around the year 30 A.D. by Pontius Pilate. While not hard evidence, since these are just more writings, the coincidences just pile right up.

Huh. And I used to think all that Roman history I learned in Latin class would never come in handy. That'll show me, I guess. :)
