I just don't get why people assume that everything on the internet should be free...it makes no sense. Even in the real world, free newspapers make their money by selling ad space which interrupts your reading. So you're given a choice between buying a newspaper with less ads (and usually more content) or accepting the ads and getting the paper free.

The internet is not another world...it's something that exists in the same economy as the rest of the world and deserves the same consideration. Unless you are buying the content of the site, you're going to have to deal with the ads that interrupt you.
