the cross-map railgunning should also be air-to-air... number of times I've been hit by about 25 rockets every time I head for the railgun, just because I'm good enough with it to, on Q3DM17 (The Longest Yard), while returning from the Railgun platform, splat someone going for the Quad exactly as they hit the mid-air jumppad...
