On a couple of occasions where I've established email contact with members of the board in order to do a favor, I'm employed a simple verification technique. When the Ufie emailed me, I emailed back a password that they then had to post under their alleged account. Simple, paranoid, secure.

I admit I'm kinda glad to hear that my security efforts turned out to necessary... I felt silly making those nice Ufies do that.
