Because I'm going to throttle the living s**t out of the old woman.
Just spent the last four days moving my grandmother to a nursing home. She falls down. She falls down because she won't get her cataracts fixed and can't see. She also falls down because she refuses to stand up and get any exercise. She falls down, goes boom, and breaks her hip. She is 95yo.
What she has said she wants to do is to "just let me lay here in this bed [and y'all wait on me] for 5 or 6 weeks and then I'll try to stand on my leg." Well, sad to say, Grandma, Medicare won't let you stay in the rehab hospital unless you're actively rehabbing. And "I cain't" doesn't cut it with them.
Also sad to say, there isn't anyone left who can take her home with them and physically take care of her.
And just because a person is old doesn't make them a nice person and it doesn't mean they don't try to manipulate people.</rant>
