I'm currently developing new version of a certain product. Last week a minor project started that requires something similar as its core. I gave an option to use either the old (crappy) version or new (shiny), pointing out that new version still has several modules missing. I didn't intend to finish them up for about a month or two, mostly because they are merely a commodity and are not in any way critical to the project. The new version was chosen of course. And now as all those involved in that project (except for designer, but he plays no role any longer) are slackers, they've been bugging me with those missing trinkets entire week claiming they're vital to this project. On the other hand I'm already overdue on another project, which _is_ very important to our company and they all know it, and are also responsible for me being overdue in the first place by cluttering my time with meaningless details. Any ideas on retaliation? Must be subtle yet painful. And most importantly, I must not be blamed for it!
