Most barebones have much better potential than emachines. the barebone tyipically goes for $200 and you add CPU, RAM, and HDD, while everything else is built in. The last one I did that with was an ASUS Terminator. The downside is that there is no way I know of where you can do this and make payments. These are almost always cash up front deals. But, you get a lot more bang for the buck.
