What are San Diego UFies doing Super Bowl Sunday? by Route 2003-01-19 18:52:55
I don't want cable, and at my place, you can't get even basic TV reception unless you shell out for cable. So I won't be watching the Super Bowl.

Game days are always odd. I was walking around earlier today, and the streets were deserted. The only sign of life was whooping and hollering from the houses where people were watching the game. It's so strange, to be the only person walking down an empty street, and from five or six different houses at once, people start cheering in unison. Creepy.

How do you plan to survive the onslaught of fans? Staying way the hell away from Qualcomm Stadium, Mission Valley, and touristy places, for starters. Not counting on buses or trolleys to show up on time, or to have enough room for you to get aboard if they do. Putting tire spikes in your assigned parking space when you leave. Buying a month of food beforehand and not coming out till all the fans have gone home. Etc.?
