would it be to write a daemon (say in Perl) that listens on port 25 & IMAP and was basically an email server using an RDBMS as a backend? Oracle DOES have their unbreakable email in their 8 & 9iAS but, that's big. I suppose it'd be the anti-abuse/spam code that'd the hardest part... no?
