but do you want a board that burns out exactly right after ht warentee period is over, or do you want one that is stable like a brick for 20 years?

And no, it's NOT that simple. Processors all want a specific vltage. and you can exceed rteir tolerances and break things.

And cpaacitors have a tolerance as well. You can make a resitor that lasts 1 year and one that latas 20 years, but has hte same output voltage.
