I never pirate anything I would pay the money for. The only reason I have ever pirated was because I wanted to try it out.
For instance back in 1998 i bought a $5 copy of SimCity 2000, from that point on i was horribly addicted to all Sim* games. Since then i have bought the full retail versions of; SimCity 3000, Streets of SimCity, SimCopter, SimIsle, SimAnt, The Sims (Full version and Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, and Unleashed expansion packs. 2 copies of each actually)
The way i see it for the 20 bucks i didnt spend on SC2k i spent close to $500 because I liked it so much.
Oh yeah, i made my Mom buy The Sims too, also bought a copy for a friend, I have no idea how much was bought from then since. |
