But it is stable with proper hardware.
Windows 95SR2.5 on an AMD K6-III/450, Tyan S1598C2 motherbaord, and 128MB PC133 Crucial memory had absolutely no issues for 2 years. I upgraded to windows 98SE on the same machine (upgrade is in format and install), no issues.
It was subsequently replaced by windows XP running on different hardwre, which has also not had any issues.
It's all in the hardware whether or not Widnows is stable.
Keep it cool, keep it good quality (quality != high cost | high performance), you'll have no problems.
I will agree that Linux manages things a lot better, which is why I prefer the OS. |
