followed by a short reason why.

The difference between your microwave idea and hte linux idea, is that microwaves can kill a person or worse, let them live with cancer.

Linux only requires a reinstall (or some muddling by a person who knows something (like how to read).).

You'll notice that car manufactors do NOT say "Do not stick the car in nuetral and hold down the gas pedal to the floor, this will blow hte engine apart!".
