But some obvious things:
1. Don't lie. You might not feel comfortable telling your boss that you have an interview, but that doesn't mean you have to tell an untruth. Try, "I need some extra time for lunch so I can take care of a personal errand." Or arrange your interviews to be in the evening.
2. If you get offered another job, talk to your boss before you accept it. Who knows, maybe they really could match a better salary you've been offered. And if not, they can't say they weren't given the opportunity to do a little better for you.
3. Give notice, and do your job during the notice period. Offer to help train your replacement.
That's about as much as you can do, and if your current employers are as cool as you say, that should be enough. |
