Don't burn your bridges by telling them what you think of them, but don't tell them beforehand what your plans are (because that'll burn the bridges, too).

The best you can hope for is to get a solid offer before telling them, and then go. At that point, it's up to them to burn the bridge or not. Some people will, regardless of what you wish. Some might just accept it and keep your name in mind when they can offer you something more reasonable.

Don't try to negotiate with them, however, if you are looking for more than a contract position. That is a good way to foster resentment.
