looking for a XML logo... by Garath2003-01-13 06:58:03
found these at the w3.org site by z1root 2006-11-19 12:55:59

It took a bit of messing about with google, but from this search I found the following.  I do not know the copyright status of these images so please check the W3C Logo and Icon Usage page.

  1. XML icon
found on XML et Accessibilité page (yes, it's in French).  This doesn't appear to be an official icon, but it does pretty well say "XML".  Note: the image properties from that page reports as 110 x 46 pixels, but google reports it as -1 x -1 pixels.
  2. W3C valid xml 1.0 check icon
The listed URL is incorrect, but the link still works.  The page says "These are the current preferred URIs for the validator icons as of 2000-09-29:", so it's use is most likely governed by the W3C HTML Validator Logos section of their W3C Logo and Icon Usage page, which states that no permission is needed, but also directs you to "Please see the W3C HTML Validator for information on use of the HTML Validator Icon."  I had a difficult time finding such information there.
