My guess would be that the public position would be that america will go it alone if nessisary. But in private they would then try and find a compromise to get some more support. International support is always good PR but with the inward focus of all US news and the general population it's not a requirment.
And let's face it, it's not like anyone in europe is going to threaten to embargo the USA, they would lose too much of their market.

Oh and you may find the USA trying to bribe other nations to support it. Or to be more accurate, trying harder than they currently do to bribe other nations.
