Where is it written that any nation anywhere has any rights whatsoever outside their borders? I don't care how oppressed they feel; if I don't want to sell my stuff to North Korea, I don't have to. North Korea does not have any inherent right to force me to sell to them. Last I heard, there was another word for "securing trade through force" - stealing.
And there is a big difference between a trade embargo, i.e. one nation deciding not to sell any of its domestically-produced goods to another nation, and pressuring other countries to do the same. |
