If the end result is that we discover this view is untenable, then I will have to give it up as wrong. However, i am not setting out to prove it worng. I simply realized I was being hypocritical by saying one day that nations should stand up to us, and then the next day bashing NK for doing exactly that. If you can't pursue trade with a long time ally because the US is now using economic blackmail to force that ally into an embargo against you, then the US is violationg your sovereignty IMHO, and you are justified in going to war to stop it.
