Yet Another Little Gripe About Life TM

I've always had the policy that when someone tells me a phone number over the phone, I repeat it back to make sure I got it right. Phone numbers are so easy to get wrong, so the repitition is an important check. I'm frankly baffled when people don't read them back to me, but I'm not always in the mood to force them to do so.

Do you always repeat back phone numbers when they are read to you? If not, why not? Do you think you're perfect? Do you think the phone company and everybody you talk to is perfect?
