A motorised sofa (settee, couch), and then an office chair when they've solved transmission problems - not that easy to fit drive within the stem and castor layout of a normal swivel chair.
I expect that they'll have the sofa done by the summer, and I'll probably get to ride on it in October/November at the Christmas party.
They haven't put anything on the web yet, but I believe they are intending to use a pair of Iskra 1.2kW electric motors to drive it.
Personally, I'm building an electric skateboard - I have the motor and speed controller, just need to find the right wheels and grab a scrap of 1/2" plywood. |
