...or any other .RPM based distro (I prefer .DEB purgatory to .RPM hell or .TGZ wandering-in-the-wildreness-for-40-years). But Mandrake is often cited as very newbie friendly. But it depends on your existing computer experience. If you are able to get through a windows install by yourself, you should be able to manage RH and suSE too. If you rely on help to keep a windows box running, I'd go with Mandrake.
