| The Copyright levy is supposed to be a certain amount of money collected, to be paid out to the artists who are supposedly losing money do to music piracy, which it is assumed you are using the CD-Rs you bought for. However, all that has happened is the money has been put into an account, and left there to collect interest. the interest does not belong to the artists, and the people in charge do not have a time limit on when the money is to be paid. As if this was not bad enough, the CPCC (the people organizing the levy and collecting it) are paid out of the money collected, and use the funds to go on business trips to other countries to encourage other places to enforce simaler rules!!! I thinik they recently went to switzerland (??), but it might have been another 'S' country :P |
