I was cosntantly being beaten up and suspended for weeks at a time. Them? They'd get a few days suspension. The social aftermath is quiet different. I was labeled as a retard every time, and they got labeled "cool". Okay, people say not to think about labels at all, they don't mean anything. They sure as hell DO play a role in the quality of your life when _everyone_ thinks your a retarded queer!
