I'm sorry if my tone was prejudiced, it was not intended that way. I really want to know the answer to my question. I honestly don't perceive some of the things said in the OT to have anything to do with love. So I am asking you as someone who knows about his faith a very important question for my own self: why don't these things seem to jive. You said that God's main message was love. So either god's actions are really justified by love (in which case, I am obviously ignorant of the justification and need people like you to show me), or those actions which are not justified by love were not really the work of God (and humans do give God credit for all types of evil acts; like Osama for example).

I really do desire your help sorting these things out. Many pastors' refusals to help me sort this out is why I left the church in the first place.

If you would prefer, my IM info is in my diary.
