Given that "resolution" has oh, about TWO commonly used meanings, and ONE is on everybody's lips right now because of the New Year, why is it such a shock that cartoonists would make a similar pun involving the second meaning of the word?
Now, if Stef had said, "1024*768, just like that kid in Foxtrot!" or if Jason from Foxtrot said, "I dunno, I want whatever resolution Pitr from UserFriendly has! Pitr is my idol!"--then you might have a case that there was some plagiarism memetic crossover. |
