simply means that law-abiding people cant have 'em. It seems to have escaped the politicians grasp of reality that a criminal doesnt really care if the gun s/he uses to commit a crime with is legal or not. They seem to think that if an item is illegal then it cant be used and they are gobsmacked when the facts of life are pointed out to them ie:there are more gun-related murders now than before they banned the bloody things!
