Excuse my shock, but I hear a lot of Europeans complain about the US's gun culture while expressing their great appreciation for their own gun control laws. In the US, it is illegal to fire a weapon into the air to scare off a criminal, but you are allowed to shoot at them if you are willing to say you thought they had a weapon :)
