It doesn't force the installation of a big huge honken GUI when you don't want or need one :D

And you get to chose every single little last package that gets installed! Even the required ones can be deselected :D

Bloatware, Slack is not!

Someone was once amazed at how I installed Slackware on a machine with a 250MB harddrive, with 200MB to spare. I was like "Uh.. I just installed what was needed to do routing and that was it...." and they had this "wow" look.

They were a RedHat user, believe it or not.

Smallest Linux install he had ever done was 300MB..... Now THAT is bloat!
