a large corporation should have the right to put small local businesses out of business, therefore ruining the economy of any given local area?
Local area being something like a town, or a city.
See, if you have several Small Businesses (one location, maybe 2), then when people spend money there, the money stays in the area. That encourages a good strong economy for the local area.
You move a large corporation into it, and it shuts down the local small businesses (usually). Then all the money that's spent there, goes out of the area (usually out of state). This encourages a strong economy nationally, but in that local area is declines.
This is hte fate Alaska is suffering now, no more local businesses and a whole lot of national corporations!
And you think it's okay? |
