Pretty trollish, but it got my dander up so I'll reply. I do not claim to be an "environmentalist" or to speak for anyone else.
#1: Saddam Hussein has no "testicle grip" on this country. We use exactly ZERO Iraqi oil. If, in fact, we allowed Saddam to fairly trade petroleum, the PRICE OF OIL WOULD GO DOWN. That's what this bushy warmongering is all about - keeping TEXAS OIL EXPENSIVE! Open your eyes, man, and turn off the Rush Limbaugh radio.
#2: "Huge" is a relative term, and has no absolute value. But even if there are "huge" unexploited oil reserves under caribou refuges, *burning* oil for fuel is retarded when you consider we're going to need petroleum lubricants far into the future, and petroleum fuels can already be replaced with renewable resources made from corn and other agricultural sources. Do you have a savings account? Or do you spend all your income on candy every payday? If the latter, you will regret it the day you can't pay your dentist.
#3: I'm not concerned about gas prices, because I drive a Toyota Prius, which is a fine automobile. The Honda Civic hybrid wasn't available when I bought my car (they only had the goofy sports model) but I hear it's pretty nice too. However, what concerns me is not caribou or prices, but whether my children will have free air to breathe - my grandfather and two uncles died of lung cancer, and I'm a cancer survivor myself, so I'm pretty sure at least one of my kids has the genes for it. You pollution mongers are writing my child's death sentence and you want me to shut up? How many times have you sat at a bedside with a relative slowly dying of cancer? I've done it too many times, so maybe YOU are the one who should shut the fsck up.
#4: The Dagda is the GOOD god, not a Randite pollution-lover. Lime up some brain-balls and go play some Hurley, it'll do you good to get outside for a while. |
