to a lot of people it's too expensive anyway. You seem to be thinking of the people who would be travelling somewhere, be it Alaska or somewhere else, so the price isn't only comparable, but better. I'm thinking of the people who would LOVE to travel anywhere, but when faced with the price (almost any price), they have to chose clothes for the kids, braces, doctor appointments, etc. instead of the cruise. Travelling is a luxury that many people just don't have.
