...when the emulation community first started. The game companies were screaming about it and shutting down sites left and right (or at least keeping them from posting the ROMS, such as on the original ClassicGaming site). But I never hear about classic ROM sites being shut down anymore (although maybe I just don't pay much attention to it). I guess the companies finally decided that it's just not worth it to pursue them. Fine by me. :)
