...it sounds really cool, and anyone who has test driven one ends up endlessly praising it. I'm just not exactly sure how genuinely useful it is, and what it's market is. It seems to me that people will drive/take buses or trains to get to where they need, and walk the rest of the way, and if it's a place in town they want to go, well there's always bikes. Lugging this thing around makes no sense, no matter how cool it looks and works.
I can see postmen and people doing those types of things using this, but I'm just not sure how useful it is to the average person. A better thing to pour money into are enviromental cars (like the hybrids, which are a cool technology that needs to get more notice) and true, top-of-the-line public transportation to wean people off using their cars to go everywhere (there's good public transportation in the country, but from what I understand it's nowhere as good as how things work in Europe. Feel free enlighten me on this topic.).
