Router Question by cmantito2002-12-29 11:13:23
easy answer by leibold 2002-12-29 12:46:55
check /etc/nsswitch.conf on the internal systems to make sure hosts lookups occur first on the /etc/hosts file and only if no entry is found use dns. Then add:
192.168.0.51 webmail.kevinsnet.com webmail
to the /etc/hosts file.

There are other answers that require a little more effort, but are necessary if you have clients were you can't control the order of hostname lookups.
